Infant Car Seats

Finding the best car seats for your child:
To escape injury in an accident, you will need to pick a seat suitable for the child's age and weight. They come in three main categories: infant, infant & toddler convertible and booster seats. Statistics show that most seats are installed incorrectly. Once you have purchased a seat make sure to follow the directions for proper installation.

Infant Car Seats:
A child under a year old needs to be secured in a rear facing seat. The disadvantage to buying an infant seat is that you will have to buy a convertible seat after your child reaches 20 pounds. An infant seat will cost between $60 and $150. If you are willing to spend more, there are plenty of extra options to choose from. Better quality material and cushioning, infant head inserts and boots, more recline positions and easier installation.

Infant & Toddler Convertible Car Seats:
These are larger than infant seats and will last through your child's toddler years. They are designed to be used until your child reaches 40 pounds. On disadvantage is that these seats are difficult to remove from the automobile. These seats are for newborn through about age 4. Your basic seat costs around $80. For more options such as leather or better quality fabric, belt adjustment and/or a cup holder, they run as high as $300. Click here for Toddler Car Seats

Booster Seats:
Booster seats are for children 3 years and up and who weigh at least 40 pounds. They are used with a lap and shoulder belt. Cost is between $60 to around $200.

Baby Safety Equipment Advice

Baby safety equipment is essential for keeping young children safe and out of harms way in and out of the house. A lot of parents find it very difficult to choose which products would be beneficial in keeping their little one safe. Experienced parents will be able to tell you how wide the range of safety products available is. You can make things more simple though. There are ways that can help you to choose which ones you should invest in.

1) Ask experienced parents who you are close to, about what baby safety equipment they recommend to you, and what they don't recommend. This should really help you out.

2) Have a pen and piece of paper at the ready for touring your home at a baby's eye level! In other words, you will be crawling around your house at baby's height so you can spot all of the potential dangers. This will give you a better idea of what products to invest in and make sure you write each product as a list on your paper.

Below I have listed three of the common types of baby safety equipment:

1) Baby car seat: These are required by law. Your baby must use one of these whenever they are in the car from the very moment they leave the hospital as a newborn. It is always best to buy a car seat manufactured by a brand name that is popular and who you feel you can trust.

2) Child safety locks: These are used to stop your little adventurer from getting their hands into your cupboards and drawers that contain potentially dangerous items and to stop them from emptying them and making a mess. Young children really love to empty everything onto the floor! The most common child safety locks are; drawer locks, window locks, and cupboard locks. Cabinet locks, toilet locks, and fridge locks, are among other types of child locks available.

3) Baby stair gate: This safety product is a very good item to invest in. You can fit these onto doorways in order to keep your baby out of particular rooms of the house, or you can fit them at either end of the stairs to stop baby from falling down them. Fit it at the top of the stairs if baby is upstairs, and the bottom of the stairs if baby is downstairs.

The three types of baby safety equipment listed above are a few of the most popular products to invest in for your child's safety. Speak to your friends for advice, and read reviews online.

Baby Child Care - Having Close and Intimate Contact With Your Baby

Baby child care is really joyful for every mother all around the world. For most parents, the entrance of a newborn baby into the world is a core event that will have an intuitive affect on their lives. This means that the absence of newborn baby will create some changes in parents' daily lives.

Cannot Understand Spoken Words

It is obligatory for parents to comprehend that babies are not able to recognize spoken words. As time was past, the toddlers will come to understand what parents are saying and quickly they will begin replying by fussing and also creating gushing sounds.

If you are a busy person, then spending just thirty minutes a day is enough to provide a good baby child care for the your lovely toddler. You can also ask your husband or your match to help out you when you are watching over the baby. As great mother, you should also make sure that you nourish the infant with your own milk as this will give much joyful to the infant who will love to suck on your milk.

Giving breast milk is very advantageous and strongly recommended. Throughout this action, the baby will acquire eatable milk that is free of microorganism, and is protected as well as of the desired temperature.

If you can not nourish your toddler from your breast milk, then it is better to feed your toddler with dried milks as these are safe and convenient. You can also pick diluted, boiled, and fresh milk which can be provided soon and has a useful aim for the infant.

New mother is generally faced difficult difficulty when they have to provide their baby with great baby skin care. They commonly scared of gashed the baby's soft skin.

If there is still uncertainly, don't make yourself in doubt, see more on baby child care [http://babieshappy.com/baby-child-care/baby-child-care-a-wonderful-experience-in-life/].

- We got these bowls when we started our son on solids. These bowls are the small enough that they don't take up a lot of room in a diaper bag but also large enough that you can put a perfect portion of dry rice cereal in them. The lid closes absolutely shut and all you have to do is add water when your baby is ready to eat. We also use it to put puffs in. These lids are tight enough that it keeps puffs from getting soggy.

Our son absolutely loves these bowls because he associates them with getting his puffs. They also have actually become a backup toy when he gets a little bored or cranky while being out. All in all, we recommend these to any parent starting their baby on solid food. These bowls are a must have for any diaper bag.

Baby Convertible Car Seat Reviews - Britax Marathon Versus Britax Boulevard TSIP

Britax car seat is getting popular in today marketplace, and many parents do suggest that it is a great brand to consider for your baby.

As there are many different models, we have picked the most popular ones for comparisons...

Britax Marathon is a durable convertible car seat that helps to keep the baby safe and secure in the vehicle.  It can hold the baby from 5 to 35 pounds (rear facing) and 20 to 65 pounds (forward facing).  The safety design includes the five point harness with patented HUGS (Harness Ultra Guard) system.  Easy-to-use push button feature allows parents to release the LATCH connectors easily and quickly.  It also has the E.P.S. and comfort foam for safety and comfort purposes.  In general, this is a top rated convertible car seat that recommend by most parents.

The drawbacks are the following:

1. There is a round piece between the child ' s legs area where the bottom harness clips and parents need to pull it out to get the clip.  You could take it off if it bothers you.

2. The Velcro on the sides is used to secure the unused strap which is one of the great features; however, when the straps are on the longer side or if its pulled out a little, the straps are no longer match up with the Velcro pieces and in result, the scratchy Velcro will fuzz up the fabric on the seat.

3. Do not pull the seat belt too tightly through the clip because it will easily break as some users do complains on this.

4. Even it suggests that the car seat is suitable to child up to 65 pounds, but many users complain that this is not the case.

Britax Boulevard T.S.I.P Convertible Car Seat is suitable for infant from 5 to 35 pounds (rear facing) and 20 to 65 pounds (forward facing).  It has a special design named "True Side Impact Protection" with head support and it could protect the child from side impact collisions.   The easy-turn knob design allows parents to adjust the headrest and harness height easily.  The five point tangle free harness provides a secure fit and the premium push button LATCH connectors provide a quick and secure installation.  Unique features in this model are also including: the patented V.e.r.s.a-Tether for energy management, and rear- and forward-facing recline for child comfort and a body pillow for positioning.

The drawbacks are the following:

1. This model might not well fitted to all types of vehicles, therefore, you need to double confirmed with the salesperson before buying it

2. The middle strap that goes between the child's leg with the buckle is a bit short

3. There is no head support for baby; therefore, you might need to buy something to help support the child when he or she falls asleep.

4. Parents do complain that the reclined rear facing is uncomfortable to babies and you might need to take note on this.  However, the forward facing has no problem with it.

These two types of Britax Convertible Car Seats actually have their own advantages and disadvantages, and in order to decide which one is better than the other, it is all depends on what features you are looking for. They both do have very high ratings from many buyers; therefore, it is now your own determination to decide which one is the best one for your baby and family.

How to Choose the Right Car Seat for your Infant, Baby or Child

The first thing to remember is to choose your new car seat by weight of the child and not by age. Some manufacturers give a guide range of age but it is only a guide as each child is different.

A car seat that is installed correctly can reduce the risk of serious injury or death by as much as 75%. Babies should be in rearward-facing baby seats until they weigh at least 13kgs and can sit up unaided, only then should they be placed in a forward facing seat. Try to keep them in a rearward-facing seat as long as possible as it's the safest way.

As many as 80% of car seats are installed incorrectly, and the most common errors are not tightening the seatbelt and harness enough. Make sure your child is safe and properly strapped in and never place a car seat where there is an active airbag. Always read and follow the manufacturer's instructions when fitting the seat

It is far better to buy a new child seat; second hand car seats have suffered more wear and tear and may not be designed to current safety standards. If you must buy second hand make sure it's either from family or friend so you know the car seat history, and that it comes with the full instruction manual for fitting.

Prices vary dramatically, and it is not necessarily best to buy the most expensive one. The most important thing is to make sure that the seat you choose is suitable for your child and for your car. There are a number of price comparison websites to help you.

Look through the manufacturer's catalogues, on their websites, and in shops so you can see a broad range of seats, there are lots to choose from. If you will be constantly taking it in and out of the car, then a lightweight seat may be the best choice, and if you do a lot of travelling it will probably be better to get a car seat that reclines so your child will be more comfortable and can fall to sleep on those long journeys. Before you buy a car seat you should contact the child seat manufacturer to check if the seat will fit your car.

The best car seat you can buy is the one that will fit your car and your baby!

Mark Hartshorne is a father with two young children and created a website to review baby car seats to offer parents a fair comparison on price, size, safety, design and more. That website is My Baby Car Seat.

Best Customer Review

- I read so many reviews and watched video reviews on almost every single high chair available and concluded that I really wanted to get this high chair. I am NOT disappointed at all! This is the BEST one out there! My baby is only 3 months old and I just recently put him in it to feed him his bottle and also just to sit when I'm doing dishes or cooking. He enjoys it and seems comfortable in it. There are so many things I love about this chair!
LOVE:
-The material of the chair is easy to clean and wipe up.
-The 9 adjustable heights is so convenient for when I want to pull my baby close to us sitting at the high dinner table, or when I'm sitting lower on the couch.
-The swing is such a nice feature for when my baby is about to fall asleep.
-It stores away very compactly- much smaller than other high chairs- so it's nice when we have company over and want to put things away.
-The sticky tray is perfectly "sticky" so my baby won't be able to pull it off.
-The 5 point harness keeps my baby safely strapped in.
-So many adjustable settings (besides the height, is being able to recline the chair!- LOVE that!)
-It just LOOKS cool. We've gotten so many compliments on it.

I honestly can't think of much to complain about. It did take us awhile to figure out all the levers and buttons to work the high chair. Some people have commented on how it's like a "spaceship" because it's so complicated. But once you get the hang of it, it honestly is a GREAT high chair. (PRACTICE before you put a real baby in there! I almost dropped my nephew because I was fumbling around and trying to figure out what some of the levers did!... Luckily, he was strapped in!!!!) We've used it with our baby and other toddlers that come over to visit, so we know it'll be great for our baby when he gets older too. It is a bit costly, but we registered for it and received it as a present and it was worth it! I would definitely buy it myself if we didn't get it as a gift. If you have the money, then splurge.

I wanted to purchase the accessories that went with this chair, but it seemed kind of expensive for what you get, so I ordered the Tiny Love Sunny Stroll Arch from Amazon to attach to it, so that my baby can play with it while sitting in the chair. Maybe I'll update later when I receive it and see how it goes with the Tatamia!
